  Digital archives/records in archival education
The ongoing ICT revolution is more and more affecting the daily work of archivists. How are future colleagues prepared for these new tasks, what impact does it have on the curriculum?
  Archival Research
Research is very important for an archival educator: to expand his/her knowledge, to strengthen his/her position etc. But education always has priority over research. In this session possibilities to facilitate research are discussed.

  Teaching appraisal in archival education
Appraisal is one of the most difficult and challenging responsibilities of the archivist, but it is a difficult issue to teach. Can it be more than discussing Schellenberg, Booms and/or Cook?
  European co-operation
Because most archival educational institutions are small they have difficulty in adapting education to modern developments on their own. This session will discuss possibilities, payoffs and pitfalls of regional co-operation.

  Archival competencies and archival education
There is an evident shift in professional HRM from knowledge to competence: the ability to combine knowledge, abilities and attitude in performing professional tasks. How does this affect professional education ?
  Building competence in records management
Records management is the archival area where changes are the most striking and where the need for training is most acute. How can experts and educators work together to develop a successful train the trainer program?
